Tour duration: 2 Nights/3 days

TOUR DESCRIPTION

Day 1: Breakfast. Then transfer to Guba (2-3 hour drive from Baku). Free time. Sightseeings. Dinner. 

After breakfast, travel to Ateshgah (eternal flame) by horse or foot (your choice).  Have tea and a small lunch by the ancient holy site which is beautifully situated higher up the mountains with fantastic views.  After lunch, climb up to Baltiqaya. This steep mountain pass at 3,200 meters (approx10,000 feet) gives you stunning views of the Great Caucasus mountains including Bazarduzu and Shahdag (the two highest mountains inAzerbaijan).  Have a short rest at the top of the mountain and have a snack of locally made cheese, fruits, and bread.  Descend towards Laza (1,500 meters) where you can stay in the comfortable cabins at Suvar or stay in a home in the village.  It is also possible to camp in the mountains above Laza. 

Day 2:  Leave Guba at 9 am and travel by jeep to Xinaliq.  Enjoy the spectacular trip up through the mountains and across rivers. The highlights include the "Tolkeinchasm" and "CloudcatcherCanyon".  Have a tasty picnic lunch alongside "Qudyalcay" river.  Arrive in Xinaliq and then spend the afternoon exploring the village and museums.  Accomodation can be arranged in either private houses with some of the villagers or in the Xinaliq guest house. Enjoy traditional Xinaliqi food for dinner. Return to Baku. Accommodatin in the hotel.Alternatively you can stay overnight in private ouse in Xinaliq, spend the night at Long Forest Resort or in Guba Hotel. 

Day 3:  Return to Baku.
